Bulgaria culture minister greeted by Petit Palais Director for museums built in Sofia

Bulgarian Minister of Culture, who is on a working visit to France, was greeted by Petit Palais Director Gilles Chazal for the museums built in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia, the press office of the Bulgarian ministry announced.

“It is great that you are building three new museums in Sofia, you deserve great admirations,” Gilles Chazal said at the meeting with the Bulgarian minister.

Chazal added that he was highly impressed by the renewed shining halls of Bulgaria’s National Art Gallery, which were repaired under a project of the ministry and using European funds. He commented further that he was considering the idea for the Petit Palais’ exposition in Bulgaria, which is planned to arrive in Sofia this fall, to be made in the halls of the National Art Gallery.

A team of the French museum will arrive in Sofia over the next weeks to see the renewed gallery in Sofia.

Rashidov and Chazal discussed the exposition of more than 200 pieces of art of the French museum Petit Palais, which will be seen in Bulgaria for the first time on October 25, 2012. The catalogue with the works is already ready for print.

Gilles Chazal accepted Vezhdi Rashidov’s invitation to attend the opening of the Petit Palais’ exposition in Sofia and added that Paris Mayor Bertrand Delano? may come, too.
