All the overseas students, who want to study for Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree in Beihang University (BUAA), will be welcomed to apply for the Postgraduates Project in BUAA sponsored by Chinese Government Scholarship. The application information and requirements for Postgraduates Project in Beihang University are listed as follows:

It is a full scholarship program, covering tuition fees, living allowance, normal medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance, as well as text books fees.

For master program the candidates should have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35 and for Doctoral program the candidates should hold master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

* Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship;
* Highest diploma (notarized photocopy);
* Notarized transcripts of the last formal schooling;.
* A study or research plan (no less than 500 words);
* Two letters of recommendation by professors or experts;
* Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form;

The language of documents required should be in Chinese or English or attached with translations in Chinese or English.

* Applicants will check the information of BUAA and choose the specialties through the website of International School of BUAA (http//is.buaa.edu.cn).
* Applicants should fill up the Application Form of Chinese Government Scholarship carefully;
The instruction language for the Postgraduates Project of Chinese Government Scholarship in BUAA will be English or Chinese. Applicants are required to choose or note the instruction language in Item 4 of Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship. One year Chinese training program will be arranged for the students who can not take courses in English;
* Applicants are required to send the applications documents to Foreign Student Affairs Office of International School, Beihang University before January 15, 2010. The Student Affairs Office will offer the consultation services to the applicants;
The results of admission will be publicized before January 30. And the Admission Notice will be mailed to the successful applicants.

Beihang University (BUAA), formerly called Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was founded in 1952 and was the first university in aerospace technology in China. Since 1950s, BUAA has been one of the 16 state key universities of China. Through more than 50 years development BUAA has grown into a science and technology university with aerospace features, combining disciplines in science, engineering, liberal arts, law, economics, management and education, while maintaining the leading role in technology. At present 24,000 students are enrolled in BUAA and among them over 10,000 are graduates. There are 49 fields led to doctoral degree, 144 fields led to master degree and 48 specialties of bachelor degree.

BUAA has accepted over 800 foreign students from more than 40 countries in 2008. Among them over 400 are studying for degree programs, including master or doctoral degree and more than 400 are studying Chinese Language in Chinese Training Center of BUAA. English or Chinese is used as courses and instruction language for the master and doctoral programs, as well as the senior students.
