96% of the young doctors want to work abroad

96% of the young doctors in Bulgaria want ot practice their job out of Bulgaria. They are aiming at this even from the moment they go in a bulgarian medical university.

Between 400 – 500 medical workers are going abroad and others are retiring. If this tendency does not change in Bulgaria, there will not be enough doctors by 2020. This was said on a protrest organised by associations of young students and young doctors.
The main problem for them are the low salaries. They also want certain rules when it comes to their specialisation and better medical equipment for their education as well as in the hospitals.
The system does not work well neither for the patients or the doctors. – said the protesters.
