The multimedia performance Ya (Bulgaria/Japan) is an interdisciplinary production that includes demonstration of Japanese kyudo archery, filmed scenes of Thracian motives, contemporary Japanese music and dance.
The collaboration between two Japanese artists, the contemporary dancer Maiko Date and the musician Yoshio Machida, together with the Bulgarian actress and director Iva Paneva, will merge different worldviews by interpreting them through various means of creative expression.
Ya is produced by Association “Our World” and financially supported by the Japanese Foundation. The performance is a part of the SAMCA program “Theater in Museum”.
